Travel Agent Software Pricing Compared
By the TripTended team · Official pages checked October 12, 2026
Use this comparison to prepare a shortlist for one advisor, then check the purchase screen and test the workflow you need. A low subscription amount does not establish that a plan covers your trip volume, team access or AI workload.
This is a review of published terms, not a hands-on product test. It excludes introductory discounts, taxes and transaction fees. TripTended and Travefy explicitly price in USD. The TravelJoy and Tern pages reviewed display dollar amounts; confirm the billing currency and regional eligibility before treating those amounts as comparable USD costs. No currency conversion is applied here.
Compare the base subscription on the same billing interval
The annual column is a full year’s base subscription, not a monthly payment. An annual monthly equivalent is shown separately so it cannot be mistaken for the amount charged each month.
| Product and plan | Monthly subscription | Annual monthly equivalent | Annual base total | Scope of the row |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TripTended Starter | USD 19 | USD 15 | USD 180 | Plan allowance; no seat allowance inferred |
| TripTended Pro | USD 39 | USD 32 | USD 384 | Plan allowance; no seat allowance inferred |
| TripTended Studio | USD 79 | USD 65 | USD 780 | Plan allowance; no seat allowance inferred |
| Travefy Core | Monthly option exists; amount not verified | USD 39 | USD 468, calculated | First seat, annual billing |
| Travefy Premium | Monthly option exists; amount not verified | USD 59 | USD 708, calculated | First seat, annual billing |
| TravelJoy Pro | $39 | $32 | $384 | Base Pro subscription; team access costs extra |
| Tern for Advisors | $49 per seat | $35 per seat | $420 per seat | Individual advisor; agency tiers excluded |

TravelJoy’s announcement and Tern’s help article are historical supplements; their base amounts match the current pages. Historical agency and team rates are excluded.
Travefy’s calculated annual totals are 12 times the published annual monthly equivalents. They are not verified checkout invoices. Tern also displays a quarterly option at $35 per seat per month; it is a different commitment from annual billing and is not treated as monthly billing in this table.
Check the limits before comparing the amounts
- TripTended: Starter, Pro and Studio allow 3, 10 and 30 new Trips per monthly allowance period, with 300, 1,000 and 3,000 assistant credits respectively. Annual payment does not pool the monthly allowances. Its limited trial is seven days, one Trip and 100 credits. Read the trial guide for the evaluation steps.
- Travefy: The annual Core plan lists additional seats at USD 20 per month; Premium lists USD 39. These amounts are additional-seat prices, not the first-seat subscription. The published trial lasts ten days. Check support activation conditions for email and domain features. Official plan details.
- TravelJoy: Starter is $19 per month with 12 trips per year and excludes AI/automations, group bookings and team members. Pro lists unlimited trips, AI/automations and group bookings; team members are an add-on. Its trial lasts seven days without a credit card. Unlimited trips does not establish unlimited AI usage. Official plan details.
- Tern: Base pricing is per seat, and included AI is capped. Tern’s current help page describes a combined monthly AI and Notetaker budget. The pricing page offers a trial without a duration in the text reviewed. An optional Tern Pro add-on starts at $19 per month and bills monthly even with an annual base subscription. AI usage limits, Tern Pro.
Credits, usage percentages and an import feature are different units. Do not translate one vendor’s limit into another vendor’s number of completed itineraries. Record the outcome and actual usage of your own task during each trial.
Build a shortlist around the work you need
Travefy’s published bundle covers itinerary/proposal creation, CRM, websites, invoicing and commission tracking. Include it when those surfaces are part of your purchasing brief. TravelJoy Pro lists client management, proposals, payments and group bookings; evaluate it when client payment and group workflows matter. Tern lists itinerary, CRM, email, scheduling and intake tools; evaluate it when those tasks should share a workspace. These are vendor-listed capabilities, not findings from a completed trial. Travefy, TravelJoy, Tern.
TripTended’s documented workflow keeps client approval, supplier confirmation, payment evidence, payment verification and client-page publication separate. It fits a shortlist focused on reviewing what remains unresolved after a client chooses a trip. Supplier bookings and money movement remain external actions. See the workflow guide before assuming that its subscription replaces a booking or payment system.
Use a worksheet rather than declaring a winner
Copy one row per shortlisted plan:
| Plan and review date | Currency/region confirmed | Billing interval and full base charge | New-trip or trip limit | Required seats and add-ons | AI unit, cap and reset | Trial scope | Unresolved purchase question |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| [Product / plan / date] | [Currency / region / source] | [Full charge / interval] | [Limit / period / definition] | [Access needed / verified extra charge] | [Unit / cap / reset] | [Days / limits / eligibility] | [Question / owner / next check] |
Keep separate estimates for the base subscription, extra seats, AI add-ons and transaction charges. If a charge or inclusion is unknown, leave it unresolved; zero is not a substitute for a verified amount.
For a trial, use one reviewed, non-sensitive sample: a source document with a known missing field, one client change and one pending supplier response. Write down the result you need before starting. Check whether the missing field stays open, whether the change retains its source and whether the result distinguishes the client’s choice from supplier confirmation. Record manual edits, usage shown and any blocked step. Do not use live bookings or client funds to test an unverified workflow.
Your output should be a shortlist with the cost basis, task results and remaining questions. If currency, seat access or a necessary feature is still unknown, ask the vendor before purchasing. A pricing table alone cannot resolve those gaps.
