TripTended vs Travefy: Test the Client Handoff
By the TripTended team · Published terms checked October 14, 2026
If you are choosing between TripTended and Travefy, start with the work you need to hand over. A readable client itinerary and an internal record of unresolved supplier work are different deliverables. Write down which one is missing from your current process before considering a replacement.
This comparison uses published plan information and TripTended’s documented workflow. We have not completed a comparative hands-on trial of Travefy. The exercise below is a suggested evaluation, and every sample document is fictional. It does not report either product’s trial results.
Start with the job you need to finish
Travefy’s published bundle includes itinerary and proposal creation, CRM, websites, invoicing and commission tracking. Consider it when you want those functions in your purchasing brief. A plan listing establishes what to ask about; it does not show how a particular handoff will work. Official Travefy plans.
TripTended’s documented strength is its trip record: client approval, supplier confirmation, payment evidence, verified payment, client-page publication and Trip Ready remain separate. Consider it when you need to trace an unresolved arrangement to its source and next action. Supplier booking and money movement stay outside TripTended. Read the workflow overview for that boundary.
Choose two required outputs for your evaluation:
- Client handoff: a preview that clearly distinguishes the requested arrangement from what is confirmed.
- Internal handoff: a note showing the supporting sources, unresolved question, responsible person and next check.
If your requirement is a website, invoicing or commission workflow, add a separate check for it. This guide does not establish that TripTended replaces those Travefy functions, or that Travefy lacks an evidence-review workflow. Mark unobserved behavior as unknown.
Compare the same billing commitment
The table uses a full year of base subscription charges for one advisor evaluating plans. Travefy rows concern the first seat; no TripTended seat entitlement is inferred. Amounts are USD, excluding promotions, taxes, extra seats, add-ons and transaction charges. Confirm purchase-region eligibility and the checkout amount before paying.
| Plan | Annual monthly equivalent | Full annual base amount | Capacity or scope to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| TripTended Starter | USD 15 | USD 180 | 3 new Trips and 300 assistant credits per monthly allowance period |
| TripTended Pro | USD 32 | USD 384 | 10 new Trips and 1,000 assistant credits per monthly allowance period |
| TripTended Studio | USD 65 | USD 780 | 30 new Trips and 3,000 assistant credits per monthly allowance period |
| Travefy Core | USD 39 | USD 468, calculated | First seat; verify any required usage limits |
| Travefy Premium | USD 59 | USD 708, calculated | First seat; verify the specific inclusions you need |
An annual monthly equivalent is not a monthly charge. Travefy’s annual totals above are twelve times its published monthly equivalents, not checkout invoices. Its page lists a monthly option, but we have not verified that base amount here. Travefy pricing.
TripTended’s monthly subscriptions are USD 19, 39 and 79 respectively. Annual payment does not pool its monthly allowances. Its limited trial is seven days, one Trip and 100 credits; Travefy lists a ten-day trial. Do not assume every feature has the same activation conditions during a trial. Prepare one fictional evidence packet
Copy these five notes into a demo record or a separate document. Use the same input for both evaluations; do not substitute real traveler documents or test a live booking.
| Reference | Fictional input | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| P1 | Earlier client preview: standard room | The earlier client-facing arrangement |
| P2 | Revised proposal: balcony room requested, awaiting supplier confirmation | The exact revised proposal the client reviewed |
| A2 | Client approved a balcony-room change against proposal version P2 | Approval of that specific requested change |
| S1 | Supplier document still confirms the standard room; no updated response is available | The supplier evidence does not establish the balcony room |
| E1 | Receipt states USD 200; no verification against an external payment record has been completed | Evidence received, with verification still open |
The expected initial conclusion is specific: the client approved the balcony room, supplier confirmation of that change is pending, and the receipt remains unverified. Do not turn any of those notes into a real booking or payment event.
Keep P1, P2, A2, S1 and E1 as separate references. If a tool accepts files, use your own clearly labeled demo documents. Otherwise, enter the notes manually where supported and record that method. If you cannot find a way to represent a distinction, note the gap and ask the vendor; inability to find a control is not proof that a feature is absent.
Run the client handoff check
Use a private draft or preview where available. This is an evaluation of how information is represented, not a request to publish a live client page or mark a Trip Ready.
- Build the preview. Check which room description the client would see. The requested balcony room must not be presented as supplier-confirmed on the strength of A2 alone. Record any wording or manual note needed to explain the pending response.
- Find the decision’s source. Locate A2 and the proposal version it concerns. Check whether you can distinguish it from P1 without relying on memory or silently overwriting the earlier record.
- Inspect the open work. Write the missing item as “obtain an updated supplier response for the balcony-room request.” Assign a demo owner and next check in your evaluation notes. Check whether another person could find the source and understand the action from the resulting handoff.
- Inspect the receipt. Check how E1 is represented. A received receipt must not be mistaken for a payment you have checked against the appropriate external record. Record any extra note or separate process you need.
- Introduce a second source. Add a fictional S2 that confirms the balcony room for this same demo Trip and room-change request. Preserve S1, compare the two sources and record what changed. The supplier question can now be resolved within the exercise; E1 still lacks payment verification. Check whether those conclusions remain separate.
- Read the resulting handoffs. Inspect the current private preview and internal note again. Can you tell which arrangement is requested, which source supports confirmation, which earlier version was approved and what still needs action? Record the result rather than assuming that saving a draft updated every other view.
For each product, copy and complete this observation table. These are requirements and blank observation fields, not product scores:
| Check | Evidence to retain | Travefy observation | TripTended observation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Client preview before S2 | Exact room wording and pending-status explanation | [Observed / manual note / unknown; preview reference] | [Observed / manual note / unknown; preview reference] |
| A2 and its reviewed version | Where the decision and P2 reference can be found | [Location / missing step / question] | [Location / missing step / question] |
| Supplier follow-up | S1 reference, open question, owner and next check | [Result / extra process needed] | [Result / extra process needed] |
| Receipt status | E1 reference and the still-missing verification | [Result / extra process needed] | [Result / extra process needed] |
| Revision after S2 | S1 retained, S2 compared, payment question still open | [Result / extra process needed] | [Result / extra process needed] |
| Final handoff | Preview reference plus an internal unresolved-work note | [Result / blocker / unknown] | [Result / blocker / unknown] |
An illustrative internal note after S2 would read: “Balcony room supported by demo S2; earlier S1 retained. Client approval A2 concerns P2. Receipt E1 received; verification open. Demo owner: Advisor A. Next action: check E1 against the relevant external record.” This is the exercise’s expected note, not a result observed in either product.
Record the decision before switching
Write a short decision record with these fields:
- Required work: [client preview, evidence handoff, website, invoicing, commission tracking or another named task].
- Observed result: [the completed table and references you inspected].
- Work remaining outside the product: [manual notes, supplier actions, payment checks and other tools].
- Plan and cost basis: [currency, billing interval, full charge, usage allowance and unresolved extras].
- Decision: [evaluate Travefy further / evaluate TripTended further / keep the current process / defer the purchase].
- Reason and next check: [requirement met, blocker, unanswered vendor question and when to revisit it].
Travefy’s listed business tools make it worth evaluating when client presentation and those functions are your priority. TripTended is worth evaluating when you need to connect approvals, supplier responses and payment reviews to their sources and next actions. Neither conclusion proves the other product cannot meet a requirement; your completed observations are the deciding evidence.
If you already use one product, identify the missing handoff before adding another subscription. Keeping both would require a defined source of truth and an update process; no direct synchronization, automatic migration or integration is established by this article. If the same trip would be maintained twice without a clear owner, resolve that process before buying.
Follow the client change guide and client version guide to examine those review tasks in more detail. You can create a TripTended workspace after checking the trial scope, or use Travefy’s official trial entry on its plans page.
